Brainstorming
"where it all begins"
Every great piece started with a great idea. Brainstorming is the
most important part of the design process. If a design starts with
a crappy idea, no matter how well the piece is designed, it will
still turn out like $*#@.
Sketching
"taking ideas and making them a reality"
Sketching is the first step in taking an idea and turning it into
something visual. It's not the quantity of sketches that make
this step so important, but instead the quality of each sketch.
Photographing
"a word in every pixel"
The right photograph is just as important as the right font,
color, or layout. Design does not need photography in order
to be successful, but a great photograph can really enhance an
over all design.
Assembling
"like legos in kindergarten"
Once this step is reached, creating a design is a cinch!
By already planning the layout, colors, and general design, it
doesn't take long to simply put everything together and see
what you have.
Refining
"where the magic happens baby"
It's one thing to be able to look at something and say "wow thats
well designed," but to be able to make something that others look
at and say "damn thats nice," is a totally different story.
